About ALPS

Why we built it
Anyone who has managed a rota in a GP practice, pharmacy or clinic knows the drill: a leave request arrives, and somebody has to work out — usually from a spreadsheet, a wall planner and memory — whether saying yes leaves the team short. Multiply that by school holidays, bank holidays, part-time patterns and locum bookings, and leave planning quietly becomes one of the most stressful jobs in the building.
ALPS exists to make that decision easy. We encode the thing that actually matters — the minimum staffing your service needs — and check every request against it automatically. The result: faster answers for staff, fairer decisions for everyone, and no more nasty surprises on a Monday morning.
